HAIR CARE ROUTINE TO MAINTAIN HEALTHY HAIR

Hair care is not just about shampooing your hair, it’s more than that. You need proper care to maintain healthy, smooth and shiny hair. Healthy and stylish hair give you a more attractive look. Just give little attention to your hair and you are sorted.

Apart from a healthy diet and lifestyle, some of the tips to maintain healthy hair are as follows:

WASH YOUR HAIR PROPERLY
Firstly you need to know your hair type and then select your shampoo and conditioner accordingly. And there isn’t any hard and fast rule to wash your hair, just wash it when your hair feels so (it may be once, twice or thrice a week). Avoid using hot water while washing as it may strip off the natural oil from your hair and make it dull.

– AVOID BLOW DRYING AND OTHER HEAT APPLIANCES
In a rush, you always opt for the blow dryers to dry your hair quickly. But it actually damages your hair follicles, so better to air dry your hair or use cooling and low-velocity setting. Try to avoid using heat appliances on regular basis and make sure to apply heat protector before using any straightener or curling iron. This will help to protect your hair from damage.

– DO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SCALP
An itchy and flaky scalp affects the roots of your hair and may cause hair-fall. Use effective shampoo and oil to treat flakes and dandruff or consult your doctor if it persists for longer. As tea tree essential oil has anti-fungal property, its regular use helps to maintain good health of your scalp.

– OIL MASSAGE
Nourish your scalp, hair and even ends with warm coconut oil( olive oil or any other oil that suits you). Give it a nice massage for good 10-15 minutes as it helps to increase blood circulation, prevent hair-fall and hair-breakage. Do this once or twice a week before washing your hair(leave it for 1 hour or overnight).

– SUN PROTECTION
Too much exposure in sunlight affects the health of your hair and makes your hair dry and dull. So better to wear a hat, scarf, or apply serum to protect your hair from harmful UV rays which actually dehydrate your hair.

– TRIM YOUR HAIR REGULARLY
Spit ends can make your hair look dull, dry and damaged. So trim your hair after every few months to make your hair look healthier. You may also use the serum at the ends of your hair to prevent split ends or breakage. And don’t over backcombing, or tight hairstyling to prevent breakage.
